Dr. Ke Deng is Assistant Researcher in Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), China. He obtained his B.S. degree in 2013 from Xi’an Jiao Tong University, and his Ph.D in 2019 from Tsinghua University. He did his research in discovery of novel state of matter and low-dimensional quantum materials by synchrotron-based spectroscopy techniques in Advanced Light Source, Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (ALS, LBNL) after he was awarded the ALS Doctoral Fellowship from 2015-2017. Dr. Ke Deng was appointed as an Assistant Researcher in the Institute for quantum science and technology of SUSTech in July of 2019. He is mainly focusing on using Angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) and related techniques to uncover the novel electronic structure of low-dimensional materials and topological quantum materials, for exploiting and manipulating their properties.
